this moon stays large for a very long time
long enough to cool the earth / frost heaves
all things dead in the garden / crunch under boot
snow is odd this year - it comes & goes /

the day now a shadow of the mountain
cold blue
cuts through clothing straight to skin
ice i tell you it's ice
time to cover all bare patches / you got a hat
you should really wear a hat / /
