My initial reaction to finchy’s work was not positive. I thought that she is a prose writer and maybe poetry is not her thing. But I have read her almost every poem on this board. I think this is one of her better work.

Bob likes the snow nearly as much as I do.
I like a cat who likes snow. My Elmo (big black mean cat who loathes Bob) loves, really loves snow. He digs holes in it and will chase snowballs if I toss them. Like me, Elmo also loves autumn too.
We've had snow on the ground for almost a month - it's bizarre, I almost feel like I'm in Nelsontowne...anyways, good to see these, even if we have snow it's nowhere as thick or choking as in Nelson...ahh, I miss those arctic breezes...wow, country-song music about nelson...well, it figures. Right?
