& it's so damn cold out side
sky is black / wide eyed blinking stars
big dipper's handle points straight down
in this north nite / lowt of winter
bitter
makes the fingers hurt
new year's day brought first sun
one missed by sleeping heads
oh such a blue sky / snow covered in diamond heads
flash bright / oh the sun glitters deceptive lee
scratches rips blood less fingers dry
sends muscles in to spasm of chill / squeeze d tension /
neck hurts / the back pulls tight / wait for july
wait for green / summer ah lush / flowers /
snow drops / under the snow /
